Eco-Friendly Corporate Merchandise for CSR Initiatives

overview

Crayon collaborated with The New Factory to develop a plastic–textile upcycled merchandise set as part of their CSR program.

The collection included tote bags, laptop sleeves, lanyards, and neck pillows, each made from repurposed plastic materials to demonstrate Crayon’s commitment to sustainability.

Through this initiative, Crayon turned functional corporate items into purpose-driven products that align with their values of environmental responsibility.

challenge

Crayon wanted their CSR program to go beyond standard corporate gifting and instead create something that tangibly reflects their sustainability goals.

The challenge lay in producing a cohesive merchandise set from recycled plastic materials while ensuring durability, functionality, and a clean corporate aesthetic.

Additionally, the variety of products required consistent material quality and design language, despite the irregular nature of the waste stream.

Solution

The New Factory curated and processed recycled plastic materials into stable textile panels suitable for multiple product types.

Each item tote bags, laptop sleeves, lanyards, and neck pillows was designed with a unified visual identity while retaining the unique texture of the upcycled material.

By transforming waste into useful merchandise, the project enabled Crayon to deliver a CSR initiative that is practical, meaningful, and environmentally impactful.

In this collaboration, Crayon worked with The New Factory to create sustainable office merchandise by combining deadstock fabrics and plastic waste.

From these materials, we crafted a range of functional products including tote bags, pouches, lanyards, and neck pillows each designed to reflect Crayon’s commitment to innovation, creativity, and sustainability. Together, we turn waste into purpose-driven design for everyday use.
