Redefining
Co-Working with Upcycled Design

Overview

When Impact Hub Jakarta launched their new co-working space in Cipete, they wanted the interior to embody their philosophy — where sustainability meets creativity. To bring that vision to life, they collaborated with The New Factory to integrate COPPO, our upcycled solid panel made from residual textile waste, into their interior design.

This project marks the first-ever interior application of COPPO, showcasing how waste materials can be transformed into elegant, functional design elements that complement a modern workspace.

challenge

Impact Hub Jakarta needed interior materials that would align with their sustainability values while maintaining an aesthetic suited for a creative, collaborative environment. The goal was to find a locally sourced, eco-conscious materialthat reflected both innovation and environmental responsibility.

solution

The New Factory provided COPPO panels, made entirely from chopped textile waste, to be installed across various interior surfaces — including ceiling panels and cabinetry. COPPO’s tactile texture and distinctive color pattern not only add a visual statement but also enhance the space’s acoustic and environmental performance.

Each panel is made using a low-emission process, combining upcycled materials with design precision — turning what was once considered waste into a central part of the space’s visual identity.

Through this collaboration, Impact Hub Jakarta became one of the pioneering co-working spaces in Indonesia to integrate upcycled textile waste into its architecture. The project demonstrates that sustainability and design innovation can coexist, inspiring other organizations to adopt circular design in their spaces.
